Progressive local developer Zapari today announced another major acquisition in the Woden Town Centre, located on the corner of Brewer and Corrina Street.

The site will have an end value of $400 million and can accommodate in excess of 600 apartments plus other mixed uses including significant retail, hotel and office accommodation.

The trophy site is arguably the best site in the Woden Town Centre directly adjacent to Westfield Woden and will become a new world-class precinct for the area.

Nick Skepev, the CEO and Owner of Zapari said –

“We have always believed in Woden and indeed Zapari was the first developer to innovate in the area and ignite the current rapid transformation in the town centre with the hugely successful Grand Central Towers project that is now almost complete. This new acquisition will be delivered 100% by the ZAPARI and will be a major contributor to the $1 billion pipelines of high-quality projects across the ACT region.”

The off-market deal was brokered by Intellectual Property in conjunction with Civium. “We are delighted to have acquired this site on attractive commercial terms and we are excited to set a new benchmark in urban and building design,” Mr Skepev said.

Internationally acclaimed, COX architects have been appointed the lead designers on the project with Director – Ronan Moss leading the design team. “The initial concept building design has been given the nickname – “The Corkscrew”, which is a play on the unique architectural form and expression of the preliminary concept building design,” says Ronan Moss Director of COX.

Given the sites premium location and unrivalled proximity to the business and retail core of Woden, there will be strong demand for office and commercial accommodation, as well as a broad range of residential apartment typologies to cater for a variety of buyer demographics including downsizers, first home buyers and investors.

The first stage release has been earmarked for the second half of 2020 by which at that time, some major anchor tenants are also expected to be announced.

Zapari is looking forward to working with the community to create a great outcome for all stakeholders and to continue the positive rapid rejuvenation and urban transformation of the Woden Town Centre.
